Historic Nathaniel Allen House Completes Renovation

October 1, 2020: After a multi-year effort, renovation of the Historic Nathaniel Allen House is now complete. The 18,000 SF building is adapted to an arts and culture center owned by the Newton Cultural Alliance. As the MEP/FP engineer for the project, AWE has collaborated with Newton, MA based architectural firm DLA Architecture and designed a geothermal heating and cooling system for the historic structure, eliminating the requirement of any outdoor equipment for the mechanical systems.
